What Resources Helped Me Pass the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

Do you have the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam coming up? If so, here’s exactly what I used to pass, even with limited time to prepare:

My Study Plan:

I had only 4 days to prepare. Here’s the approach I took:

  1. Day 1:

    • Started with Tutorials Dojo Practice Exams to assess my baseline knowledge without prior study.
  2. Days 2–3:

    • Watched Stephane Maarek’s Udemy course.

      • The course is fast-paced but well-explained, so I didn’t need to speed up the videos.

      • I skipped note-taking due to time constraints and treated it as a review, staying focused throughout.

      • You can complete the course in about 1–2 days, depending on your schedule.

  3. Day 4:

    • Took Stephane Maarek’s 6 Practice Exams right before heading to the test center.

      • I didn’t pass all the practice exams, but they were invaluable for identifying weak spots.
    • Ideally, I would’ve taken each test twice, reviewed my answers thoroughly, and revisited Tutorials Dojo’s final exam, but time didn’t allow for that.

The Result:

Despite the rush, I passed! 🎉

Recommendations for Those with More Time:

  • Go through Tutorials Dojo both before and after completing the course for a thorough review.

  • Revisit practice exams to solidify your knowledge. I only had time to do it once.

  • If you have more time to prepare, consider using the AWS Skill Builder Cloud Practitioner interactive course. It’s completely free and available directly through Skill Builder from https://www.aws.training/

My Next Steps:

I’m preparing for the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification using:

  • Adrian Cantrill’s courses for in-depth learning and hands-on experience.

  • Stephane Maarek’s courses as a final review before the exam.

  • If time and budget allow, I’ll wrap up with Tutorials Dojo for additional practice.
